I know. It can be used for work, reliable, and won’t require keeping a private mechanic on retainer.
My uncle had a 6.0 in one of those E-350’s with the shelves. He didn’t like that it made a lot of white smoke the entire time he had it from brand new. Rear end went at 100k and was just covered under warranty so he ended up getting rid of it before he had any usual diesel issues.
I wish you luck. He has a big camper and a lot of dually F-350 guys towing 5th wheels that he’s talked to were very unhappy when they bought these new. It doesn’t seem like everyone hates them though. And if you aren’t using a 5th wheel you really don’t need a diesel, or a pickup for that matter because a van would most likely suit you better.

If I ever sell my wifes Crew Cab Sierra I’m going to buy a long bed crew cab diesel lol. Probably a Dodge or Chevy but I’m a bit bias on brands. Good looking rig.
I looked at Dodge as well but when buying used you sometimes just have to go with the best deal. Most of the diesels I looked at we’re beat up work trucks. This is a King Ranch which seems to have been driven by the boss if you know what I mean. After looking at muddy and ripped vinyl seats on many trucks, the leather in this thing looked amazing, its like saddle leather or like a living room sofa. Lol. Oh and it has a sunroof, etc.lol. Not what I am accustom to in a truck.
I did see a very nice Dodge dually but it had over 330k on it. 
Hopefully the next garage build thread will be mine. If I sell some vehicles I would have the money for a garage but then I wouldn’t need the garage so then I could use that money to buy more vehicles but then I would need a garage…
Hell yah! The king ranch leather is amazing.
A friend of mine has a similar truck with a lot of upgrades and apparently is pushing around 650hp. Damn thing HAULS and creates A LOT of black smoke. We pissed off a whole bunch of people on the highway the other day lol.
