Golf R32 driveline question

the R32 is AWD right?
if im right and it is, how do the rear wheels get power?
is it like a transfer case that is always engaged?
or a FWD transmission with a PTO type thing?

i’m just wondering if, with extensive modifications, it would be possible to stuff R32 guts into a Caddy.

haldex

im a VW tard and i dont know what that is

google it man

Anything is possible with a deep enough wallet

I’m just curious why you’d take the R32 “guts” and put them in a vehicle that is most likely heavier and clumsier than the R32 itself?

he’s a “special kid”. enough said.

Caddy is the term for the mk1 rabbit pickup

Ah well that makes a little more sense then. I was thinking cadillac of course.

me tooooo

me 3

That would actually be kind of cool.

Been done and is cool but very hard to do

Look up eurowise on the vwvortex. They did this swap into a rabbit last year… Using mostly hand fabricated floors/strut towers. It is not for the timid. I’m probably going out on a limb and being an ass, but if you have to ask how it works, the swap might be a little over your head.

Maybe you should start with a VR6 or 1.8T swap if you feel ambitious. Researching that kind of swap and getting valuable information can also be done on the vwvortex, plus those two motors are readily available and the swaps are common so you will get lots of info.

My only advice is to use the search button more then the post button, and you’ll be ok.

hell i was only wondering if it could be done, and now that i know it can i’ll probably forget about it in 3 or so hours

retarded

damn right i am.
