Gonna buy me a Mercury and cruise it up and down the

yeah, and IMO, you won’t really ever need anything bigger. Whereas with the jetboat, you would probably outgrow and end up with something like this anyways.

That was my wife’s though too. I like starting small then upgrading, she likes to throw caution to the wind. I decided to not be the voice of reason this time. Not that a jet boat would have been a good idea, but our money could go towards more responsible things this summer. Eff that. :eekdance:

fuck responsibility, your still young(sorta)

responsible ? … she does have you balls… I know how you feel

Good call. I’d be reluctant to marry someone who said she wanted to “start small, then upgrade”, unless I was her 2nd or something.

Isn’t it bad luck to not name your boat?

What’s it going to be fishfry?

please let NYspeed vote to name your boat

CDCB, marine division

The Deep Fryer?

speeder lifer

No you don’t need a license for a boat. Its just good to take a class if you know nothing about it. I was just suggesting, not knowing Fry’s background in boating.

It would fall under import/export.

Nice.

92 posts so far. I didn’t read them all but, can you fit 92 people in that boat? lol.

Are you a wild fish, fry?

SURVEY OF WILD FISH FRY AND THEIR SUITABILITY FOR AQUACULTURE IN TANJONG ADANG, JOHOR, MALAYSIA

If I use it as a pirate ship can it be mergers and acquisitions as well?
Oh and if I throw fliers and shit at people it could be marketing as well?

Also if I bang a hot potential client it could be used for whatever banging potential hot clients is.

YES YES YES

CDCB is taking off.

1: good point.
2: :tif: maybe transportation.
3: this is just normal use for a boat.

A good chain anchor rode. This is a rocky area to anchor. It doesn’t do you any good to have 2 anchors if you’re cutting your anchor rope on rocks after 10 minutes of swaying back and forth.

Danforth style anchors have never let me down. They’re light, they hold in all kinds of bottoms and they’re pretty cheap.

To pass a safety check in the US and Canada I think you need (I say I think because I’m doing this from memory, you can look it up to verify):
Life jackets for everyone on board. Have to be age/weight appropriate.
An approved and accessible throwable life preserver (floatation cushion, life ring etc).
An audible distress signal (horn on the boat, air horn, whistle).
A visual distress signal (approved flares).
A waterproof flashlight (Canada reg, not US).
A manual bailing device. I don’t keep a bucket and just tell them I’ll use my tacklebox if need be.
An oil absorbent cloth for the bildge in case you spill oil. This one I didn’t know last year when I got stopped, but quick thinking on my part got me out of a ticket when I told the Coastie I’d use my t-shirt if I had to.
A functional flame arrestor on top of the carb/intake.
A fire extinquisher.
A working blower for the engine compartment.
An anchor and 3 times the rope for the water you’ll be in. They’re a little flexible on this one. I’ve got 50’ of line, plus 75’ of ski-rope I could tie on if needed and they’ve never hassled me on it. They don’t expect you to carry 600’ of line because you’re in a 200’ deep section of the lower Niagara.

That’s what I can think of off the top of my head. If I was standing on my boat looking around I might think of a couple more.

#1 The boat name will not reference NYSpeed.
#2 Yes help me name it.
#3 It will not be a play on Fry, although Fry Pod is tempting.

Since JayS mentioned flares…not sure if its still a canadian law, but a flare gun is not legal in Canada.
