Good exhaust shop around south hills

I’m going to order some borla muffs and I’m going to need a good shop that can weld them up and realign my tips in the stock location.

My cat-back right now is stock I just want some more sound.

If you guys can recommend anyone or get me some deals  that would be great.

Cannot bend the pipes but if direct replacement of mufflers, would be glad to help you there. Let me know

I just got done motherfuckin monroe and meineke for not wanting to work on my truck. They said it needs cats, I explained to them that they are stupid. moral of this story, don’t call these shitty shops.

1st try

I’m guessing they pulled the “emissions equipment required” at those two shops?

They’re covering their asses I’d guess? :dunno:

And, yeah, see bgblockelcamino for exhaust welding work.

that would be fine except my truck never came with cats or anything emission related from the factory.

yeah fuck them all i needed was a pipe bent to connect my resonator to the muffler. but they wanted to charge me for a full exhuast crush bent in their shop for 300 bucks. i just ordered a 2.25 mandrel bent system for $235 and now i’m done with it.

Monroe and Meineke are out of the question, I’d do custom exhaust work myself before going to them.

I don’t think the muffs are a direct replacement. The shell length is the same but that’s about it. The new borlas will be half the height and alittle bit skinnier. They’re offset inlet and center outlet which is the same a stock. Also the stock piping from the Y is 2" and these are 2 1/4", the piping will probably need to be flared before welding.

I know other Grand Prix guys run these.

Martys welding shop in East McKeesport next to nigros does really good work and are very good with the price. I had a whole custom true dual exhaust system fabbed up and he did a great job and cost me under 200bucks…

there is someone on here that bends exhaust pipe, i just can’t remember who, maybe domination?

Wow that’s a good price. I was going to leave the rest of my cat-back stock for 2 reasons; 1 to keep the stock resonator/tips and 2 because I didn’t think I could afford a custom one now(limited college budget  ).

Maybe I should just have a whole new one fabbed up

here is the work he did on my truck.

That’s some good shit. Mine’s just a single res into a Y with 2 muffs and tips.

Is that piping double walled, cause my downpipe isn’t and it ticks like a motherfucker?

I’ve already got all my pre cat-back done, should probably do the rest.

I have no idea…Seem like stock exhaust tubing to me. He made all that in just a tad over 2hrs…he is very fast and good

Let me know how it go, catback for my GP is next

I went to the A-plus performance place in west mifflin. Charged me 200 to install a new cat, bend up the pipes, and put the muffler and tip on for me (i have bought all the parts before hand and brought them down.) Did nice work, nice guy too. might want to try them out get a quote or something.

Yea, mike will do good work for a far price but the dude is an ASSHOLE. yea, kind of a prick.

Is that the guy that used to work at Greenwalds? If so, hes a dick, but his quality is pretty good.

Seemed like a really nice guy to me.

Yea, thats him.
