vaca for one week me and the lady 2nd week of august, staying there for 4 days and one day driving to epcott center at disney world! 
nothing too crazy expensive, close to a beach is nice, no shitty neighborhoods, and preferably looking for answers from people who have been there, the hotels look real nice online but idk the areas around them
When I took a recent trip to Toronto, we used Hotwire.com, got a $389.00 a night room (for one person) for $108.50 including taxes (for 4 people).

Why epcot? It’s the worst of the Disney parks other than the stupid animal kingdom
Depending on what you are looking for, there is the Courtyard Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach that is on the beach (across the street with no buildings between it and the beach), relativley inexpensive and not a shit hole. Parking there is expensive but there is a cheaper lot next door.

If you don’t have to stay right on Ft. lauderdale beach about 20 minutes North are Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton Alot quieter less crime and only a short drive down US1 or 95 for the night life. Any hotel on the Beach in Deerfield or Boca is nice. Mango’s is excellent for dinner although there are alot of nice restaurants in the area. I used to stay at the Sunrise Hilton when I’d go down there for work because we had a corporate rate with them. Nice enough place, pool, good section of town, close enough that nothing is that far of a drive. Check out Las Olas while you’re down there.
I was just down there with my GF for 10 days. Unfortunately she has family down there so we just stayed with them.
Epcott was a good time. We had hopper passes and went to all three parks. Epcott was alot of fun and you can drink around the world. We chose that as our last stop of the night for the fire works display. We were not disappointed.
If you get a chance go to the Hollywood beach. One of the nicest beaches we found while we were down there.
Drinking around the world costs more than getting into the park.

We usually stay in Hollywood Florida, its a little cheaper and has a pretty cool Cuban vibe to the whole area. Plenty of decent restaurants to walk around and check out.
