Good repair shop?

Ok. I really don’t have time (nor do I actually care) to find out what is wrong with my car. I went over these wicked train tracks the other day (Bikerfly and others would know–they’re the ones at Wurlitzer and Erie in NT). Well, I noticed a slight clicking after. And then yesterday. And now today it’s a little worse. It clicks faster when it’s going faster. And I’m think MAYBE something to do with my front brakes (because they haven’t been done in 39k miles) but that’s a large maybe.

Anyway. I’ll let somebody else figure it out. If all else fails then I’ll go to Don Davis, because they are quite good. But they are quite pricey. I need it done quickly. I need to go to Ithaca next week and I don’t want to take my car since it’s CLICKING.

clicking sounds like a CV shaft

Yeah those train tracks suck. But the symptoms make me think it’s more likely something that rotates, and it’s rotational speed is relative to road speed. Could it be a wheel bearing?

wheel bearings don’t click

i bet it’s either CV or axle

Timotie is coming over and checking it out.

Otherwise I’m going to Ithaca via CR-V.

So I bought brakes and I’m putting them on, but I’ve run into a problem…

The big middle nut holding on the rotor/hub is not being my friend.

:frowning:

lol breaker bar broke !

you need my impact gun…

Why do you need to take off the axle nut? Your rotors are probably just rusted on the hub…BFH time.

:word:

hell yea that always works wonders, beat the snot out of em

yea the only reason you’d need to take that nut off is to take out the axles or the hub assembly

just take a hammer to the rotors and pop um off

Nope not on Accords. It’s stupid. I’ll let JOe esssplanines

cories accord = hub over rotor IIRC

basicly have to do rotors as if you were replacing the wheel bearings, cause the bearing winds up on the bench as its own piece before you can swap rotArs

yea and then it wont come out so i say fuck it i dont have access to a press till tomorrow night

I’m so pissed now :frowning:

I’m thinking that they really do need replacing though. That’s the back of one. bha. I hope that I can find a shop that will use the parts I purchased. ejkfjahrrr

haha So much for being CV shaft.

looks like the titanic
