Google Buzz

Some people may have it. I have a higher up Google Labs/Beta account so mine has been on a few days but check yours for the link. Seems like a GPS enabled twitter/gmail/facebook status service.

I personally love the integration between google apps. It has a lot of the same features found on MySpace/Facebook/Twitter but it blows Facebook Connect away and no Farmville

The google just prompted me to sign up for buzz last night, so I did. I don’t think it will fly though since most people will be like “Oh well I don’t have gmail so it’s not for me.” Soooo many of google’s products go unused.

It’s very difficult to pull people away something like Facebook once it’s established. Even if I personally like Buzz more all my friends/family are still on FB. Since FB is free and it works it’s tough to motivate a mass migration over to Buzz or any other competitor. FB has to mess up big and piss people off. See the UBRF to NYSpeed migration for an example.

SO essentially buzz is just Google Latitude with a Facebook/Twitter combo. Meh I’ll pass, I disabled Latitude awhile ago.

Did you make a home screen bookmark? I want an app like the twitter clients that let me post, GPS, and upload pics to posts and picasa.

It created a little bookmark I guess via the google app. For some reason it never loads for me though. I go into the Google Buzz and it just loads and loads.

I’ve got 3 pages of Apps dude :P. It’s my work phone also.
