Good old 020 R&P strikes again.
SMS sucks on VW 020 trannies. Rivots should not be used to hold a ring gear on. Welcome to the club.
i don’t think it was the ring gear or rivots, they look intact. i look more into it later

feels pretty good, although it’s alittle harder getting it into first gear.
