yeah you will be faster if your comfortable on it. the new yamaha’s feel more slim like a suzuki IMO
ya, it does feel alot different than all the other yamahas ive had in the past…just sitting on it. im sure itll have the light, flickable feel that i love about thee newest gen suzukis out on the track. it still feels abit more cramped than the rm tho. i’ll give a full report after i ride it…or u can just take it for a spin to see what u think.
i thought the new one are more roomy than previous years. i always felt hondas and yamahas were cramped.

its def got more room than the previous styled yzs, but still not as much as the rms…the bar position feels weird compared to the RM too. i guess u just gotta see in person, hard to explain.
i have the oberg top clamp on mine so i can move the bar clamps forward, and then i have the windham bend protapers. the are straight bars with very little pull back. it gives me more legroom.
ya, i’d like to eventually get a pro taper-style bar w/ new clamps, i like those better also. but for a new bike to come w/ renthals stock (yz) is pretty sweet.
just bought a PC Shorty silencer for it :naughty:
should have just shortened the stock one.
u think just the silencer will change enough for me to have to re-jet it?
no it shouldnt change much, but it could be off from the factory. which could make it really off with a silencer.
ya i havent ridden it yet, so i dunno how cleanly it is jetted, stock. ive heard ppl say dont change the stock expansion pipe unless it gets beat cause its so good, so i just wanted to get rid of the shitty, bulky silencer on it. hopefully it doesnt throw it off too bad, cause im not the greatest at dialing in my carb
RM gone
