got some new treads for the Blazer

took a trip out to Jim Dean’s Off-Road Center in Elma today and picked up a set of Maxxis Buckshot Mudders for my mom’s Blazer. $114 per tire (including mounting and ballancing). i thought it was a good price, and i did a decent ammount of research and found that a lot of people really like these tires and they wear really well (providing you rotate them every 3,000 miles, which is fine). i wanted to get Interco Trxus M/Ts but they dont make them that small :frowning:

what size are those?

235/75R15 actually the stock size for a Blazer. personally i think they look a little bigger but i think its just cuz they are new and the old ones were, well, old lol.

Not sure if they do it for me but good buy anyways

do you take this thing off roading at all?

Looks beefy.

ur mom a rock crawler…cheap tires ftw

I’ll take my Bridgestone A/T Revos over those anyday. I bet they make a good racket at 75+ on the highway.

yes i do…as a matter of fact, i’ll be breaking those tires in this weekend

they’re actually not loud at all. you only notice it a little if you are going like 65-70, have the radio off, windows up, and the fan/AC off. even then its not too loud.

Wow, with lugs like that I’m surprised they don’t sing at highway speed.

on the way home from Jim Deans they were humming pretty good. i found out that he only put 20psi in each tire, so i did i lettle expeirimenting with the tire pressures and eventually settled on the 35psi that they recomend from the factory. they hardly humm at all now and the ride i better.

or the fasct that there about 16 32nds of trad compared to normal tires 9 and u could of got bfgoodrich atkos for that price
