GPNY Pt II 1/25/09

Compress that ish then Vimeo.

Can it be done with Solidworks or a TIG? No? Then I need direction like would a toddler

My previous post was the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

Who beest thou? Is that Lawler!?

I’ll go sometime early/mid Feb. Bring it, Sally!

ya im not goin guys :stuck_out_tongue: my bad, but then again i never said i was going for sure so its all good, im just broke like hell i think i should just die in the corner

take alot of pictures and maybe some video

this could kinda be like a cruise sort of, well with winter beaters

Good, idea, I’ll do that tomorrow, thanks.

so vlads group and kramers group are the only ones going for sure

Is that just the raw video from the camera? Run that shit through Windows Movie Maker and then post on Vimeo.

Alright, screw it. We won’t be able to drive until 2:30 because there’s private events or something in the morning, and a few more people just PM’d me saying that they can’t go.

I’ll just use the extra time tomorrow to put my car up for sale in a few places :up

I know most, if not all the people who said they can’t go this time around are definitely interested in going soon, and an after-tax-season trip was mentioned more than once, so when that time comes closer I’ll make a thread to feel out some dates, and if maybe a Saturday will work better than a Sunday or visa versa for some people.

So no go? with such short notice?

I smell a reschedule.

I didn’t think people would want to spend $100+ to go with just a few people on a day that will probably be very busy with the track only open to the public in the afternoon when we could wait and have 15+ more people go and find a less busy day to go.

One of the friends I was going to be bringing has the flu so he won’t be going, and I’ve got some work to do that would have been rushed/not done if we did end up going so it doesn’t work out too well for me, either.

Basically, I’m not going to be going, but if you (Vlad) or someone else wants to take over organizing, more power to ya :up

Genius.

After two months of planning and anticipation making sure that the day is availiable should have been a no brainer.

An organizer should be all set to go even if Armageddon is approaching. You should be willing to go alone if nobody showed up not cancel because of not enough people are showing up as expected. Remember everybody shows interest but only a fraction act on it.

That’s why we go to great lengths to make sure official shift events go smooth, it’s not easy by any means.

So no karting tomorrow?

I’m in for the re-schedule.

I’m going to donkey punch Jesse before the run group to even out the advantage. Perhaps an eye patch.

slaps forehead

Ha, where were you back on the 11th of the month??? Could’a used the extra help punting him and Lew into the wall. As it was I had to take a cheap shot and T-bone him onto the straight just so I could keep him from lapping me. It was totally unintentional… I’d like to plan our next outing around a supertrack day.

Yeah you guys should have called. They do alot more there in the facility than just arrive and drive(weddings, meetings, etc)

No more event organizing by anyone under 21.

I’m not going with you homos. You’ll have to paly with someone else.

That is true, and that was completely my bad. The first date was the 17th but Archie and a few other people couldn’t make that so we switched it to the 25th before too many people saw the thread, I checked that the 17th was open but it completely slipped my mind to check for the 25th.
:retardclap:facepalm:down

100% my fault, and if if you guys want someone else to organize the next one, then I’ll know why.

On the other hand, I don’t think grouping everyone under 21 together as incompetent to organize an event is fair just based on a screw up (although a decent-sized one) by one person.
