i saw that as well :confused
Oh and C: $100 for an hour of driving go karts? I say we all throw $100 into a pool and build a few karts and do whatever the eff we want.
Unrealistic? sure but I have better things to buy/pay for for $100 right now.
Not saying it wouldn’t be a blast.
Please refer to example A.
160lbs…
Didn’t work for me, I had weak skillz and was pwnd bad. :-[
I didn’t realize until when I got home, but the print out’s they gave us had the track map WITH the driving line AND brake points! If I’d known that sooner I might of done better.
Brake points?
There is only one braking point.
Well you fail then Benny
Well whatever the map had, I don’t have it in front of me.
i had my foot on the gas all the time … i just tapped the brake a few times when i got out of control
Fail what exactly? Your humor does not compute. Please try again later.
I don’t have to explain it to you…ha
You do what you want as well? Good for you, fuck the man.
+1 i learned at the end you can take that first hairpin flat out sideways as fuck and slow down less than you would on the brake… the only brake point i found was before the hard right of the second set of S’s. I didn’t see those fucking maps etc until i got home. oops. lol
I do a quick lift for the first esses to rotate the kart.
Second esses is the only real braking point.
exactly i did the same thing… just not as fast apparently!
alot of the day was trial and error for me, it was really my first time legitimately out on a track.
Great time for your weight man! :thumb
+1
Huge difference. You heavier guys in the 32s are the equivalent to the lighter guys doing 31s.
Thanks for sharing… Just learned something valuable…
And Wayne, you’re a quick study man damn…
In that case I weigh 250ish…
Wayne was kicking ass, especially when considering that he had to work through all of us idiots each race to get a clean lap in.
True… Straight power to weight the disadvantage can be real bad, but since the track was not as “technical” as others it wasn’t as much of a liability since there was a good flow through the track…
I’m thinkin’, the karts weigh about 190 (guessing heavier than regular race kart due to seat adjuster, etc)… So with a 180 pounder that’s a race weight of 370 up, if it’s a 9 hp engine you’re at 41 lb/hp approx…
If you weigh 140, and you do the same math, you’re at 330 up and closer to about 37 lb/hp. Big diff in power to weight, like 10%!
Again, this is probably a bigger deal in accelerating out of corners but of course more weight is a liability in max speed around a turn before you lose grip too…
thanks bro! sometimes i am… i’ve always wanted to race cars my whole life… i’m really excited about that invite for next year
i weigh 165
i started fifth every race and ended up on top every time, one time there must’ve been a good accident or something cause it said +1 lap next to everyone’s name but mine. :wtf i didn’t get to see what happened though???
Tracey says she had a good time and thanks to everyone for being easy with her and not running into her alot :drink :drink
