Needed to get a winter ride since the nitto 555r’s + RWD dont do well in snow. A buddy at work is selling his 95 jimmy for $2800. Its in fair shape, just inspected, new brakes up front, tires are all good, minor rust bubbles showing up on the back passenger wheel well. 130k on it, he’s had it since 30k.
The only thing that doesn’t work on it is the power seat, it leans, but you can’t fold the seat because the plastic handle is broke, and the cable under the seat is broke so the seat can’t slide forward or back.
I drove the thing, seem’d ok. Anyone have any trouble with old jimmy/blazers? Sound like a fair price?
Ive had bad luck with two blazers(97&98). I paid 5000.00 for the 98 with 97,xxx miles It seemed like they were in the shop more than on the road. I gave up and bought a FWD mazda 626 for 700.00 and ran it through the winters.
Seems like a fair price though.
What kind of problems did you run into? So far, the only major work this guy had to do to the jimmy was the fuel tank/pump, exhaust system(cat too). Both are brand new. Any common problems? Thanks.
ball joints is the most common but I had electrical problems, AC quit working, didnt always start(still dont know why?), like I said one thing after another.
