the government plans with unlimited data are unreal, most are abusing the plans by using a mobile hot spot line to run entire offices. i know my sales territory when i used to sell verizon would consistently see 50 down and 20 up all the time.
Looks like Verizon will be moving the heavy usage unlimited people soon enough.
I just had to renew my contract with them as my phone ended up at the bottom of the river somewhere yesterday. -_- Now they make you "lease’ the phone which rolls into your monthly payments? Never had that before, is that something new?
That’s something all the carriers moved to in the last year or so.
Its not a lease actually, you finance the amount of your phone over a period of time. Each carrier has different options, and the option you have is after X months you can upgrade early and return the phone to them, alternatively you can keep the phone until its paid off then upgrade and re-sell the phone yourself. Your other option is just outright buy the phone, all carriers are doing away with 2-year subsidized pricing/contracts.
My mom and I are still on a plan, I think we pay about 90/month…works for us…
