Well…this won’t even be around much longer for us to argue over it…
Why is there such interest in drilling all of a sudden? The shale has been there forever and the gas companies have known about it for quite a while? The answer: The price of gas went up to the point where it became economically feasable to drill.
Leave it to Rendell and the Democrats in Harrisburg thet you people elected into office…they are now proposing a GAS EXTRACTION TAX on Marcellus Shale drilling. This will probably make drilling economically un-feasable once again and all the gas companies will just pack up and go away.

They didnt drill into the Marcellus because they didn’t have the technology to frac it. And a severance tax wouldn’t kill the MS, but it would definitely slow things down a LOT, and it would hurt the economy a LOT more than it would help it.
Then the Democrats in Harrisburg will look at each other and wonder what happened???
