i would just wanna know with a gt2871r .86 turbo would 18-20 psi of boost be way too much on an s13 blacktop sr. the engine has tuned ecu 740cc injectors metal headgasket and 300zx maf. i’d like to know if it is possible and safe for the motor at 7500 rpm
Go to the Garrett Turbo website… download their PDF file containing the turbos they sell…
Read the information they give you concerning motor size, housing sizes, and power output.
It’s easy… if you can’t do it, find the closest 8 year old child and have them do it for you, because I garuntee they can…

Some people have run 16-18 psi on a stock bottom end with roughly the same turbo.
So yes, the bottom end can take the boost assuming it’s reasonably tuned. Run it a little rich to be safe.
