ok that was kind of a boring one…i was jsut trying to do a few and work up to the nurburgring one after a few rounds, but we’ll do it now because im getting excited ( we are lame)
Track: Nurburgring Nordschleife
Car: Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi '02
HP: 311 kg: 1440 Tires: SM
Aids: None
not quite a german car…but a very forgiving car for a very unforgiving track
haha yea im sorry i changed it…the ruf btr was retarded as far as staying on the road
everyone should have this car…there are only 2 new stis…this one w/ big spoiler and then the Spec C or whatever the other one is with the smaller spoiler
Ok, after about 4 laps, I was at 8’13.956. I can honestly say I don’t enjoy driving this car on the Ring. I would rather the older 22b myself.
That is my time, as to not hijack/derail the challenge.
Sti was very fustrating because:
[bias begins here]
The STi sucks. Power understeer. At least stock wise. I did one flying lap after just for shits and giggles with a stock EVO GSR no aids, SM tires and clicked off an 8’07.766 on a not so perfect run first try. If I had done three more laps I probably would have broken into the high 7s. EVo bites better into the corners and seems to have enough bodyroll that you can lighten the rear end and force it to turn, even drift on command with your left foot on the brake.
After driving one lap of that, I refuse to try to do any better with the STi
I even took a stab at it with my car (MY car = a Lancer EVO III setup to mimic my DSM, right down to the weight [I added ~200 lbs and the weight is equal to what is on my registration], horsepower, suspension setup and settings, etc.etc.) With some work I am BARELY 7/10 of a second faster (8’07.036) than the stock EVO GSR. That’s how good the EVO is
P.S. Itagaki, found my BMW M3 challenge time saved on my card: 7’58.753
