This has nothing to do with what we’re talking about. I could give a fuck less if Pontiac made a car that looked just like a Grand Prix but had a good engine and RWD. What I take issue with is them doing so and trying to slap the name GTO on it purely to sell cars and appeal to musclecar enthusiasts.

If they called the new GTO a Grand Prix GT-R or something like that I wouldnt care. Everyone knows an M3 is a hopped up 3 series. You dont see Chevy dropping a V8 into a Lumina and calling it a Chevelle. (I only say Lumina because all the mid size Chevy cars have already stolen old namesakes… Malibu, Monte Carlo, Impala… they were disappointments from the get go, so no one really paid much attention to them).
You dont see Ford dropping a V8 into a Contour and calling it a Fairlane
or Dodge dropping a V8 in a Avenger and calling it a Charger…

I dont care how “muscle car’ish” it is. It doesnt have even the slightest hint of the late 60’s (or any other) GTO to it. It looks like a fucking 2 door grand prix.
Thats my issue with it. Nothing more, nothing less.
