GTP is inflicting fear on McKnight

I dunno who had more tranny troubles, Chrysler or the GTP

the Z34

all you have is an old man’s family car

I dunno who had more tranny troubles, Chrysler or the GTP

In my past 2 cars, I’ve gone through 3 trannys. 1 in the Stratus, 2 in my 300M…and I’ve only put 20k on my 300M since I bought it.

yeah, my sister is workin on her 2nd tranny in her GTP and my moms tranny is starting to slip a bit in her GTP

i don’t know… i put the GTP in the same class as an automatic Taurus SHO, or a modified Dodge Intrepid…

It’s a land yacht that makes up for size with a supercharger… It might be a really cool car to own when I’m 40 or 50, but I think at 23 it would be like driving my grandfather’s car every day. (i would have said my dad’s car, but his last two cars were a lot cooler than a GTP).

when it’s all said and done, you’re driving a reno.

lol…

i’ve owned a purple Metro, a 49hp red Metro, and a 60hp CRX made entirely out of tiger hair and held together by willpower…

a 130hp Korean built Suzuki made out of old Vauxhall Astra + Vauxhall Cavalier parts is a fucking Maybach by comparison… the fact that I’m paying $250 a month for a car with a 100k bumper-to-bumper warranty > owning a GTP (at least with my priorities).

don’t need to justify anything to me…

you’re the one that said the gtp is in the same category as a taurus or dodge… so why try to compare it to your car? i’d hope your car is cheaper… being an economy… and, well… a suzuki

those hyundai / suzuki warranties are nice and all. but i have a few friends who work at wright and sell them. an awful lot of those come back in with like 200 miles on them. its great that you dont have to pay for it but it has to be a huge pain in the ass to have your car in the shop once a month.
im on a pretty tight budget myself so i hear where you’re coming from. but time can be as hard to spend as money sometimes.

i’m comparing ownership at a certain age.

would you rather have a GTP or a Golf 2.0 at your age?

The GTP might be faster, but do you really feel like you’re in your mid-twenties driving it?

When I’m older, fatter, and concerned with things like crash tests, I’m sure I’ll look at something like the GTP and go: “Wow! That’s hotter than a Cambodian whorehouse!”

the thing about Suzukis is that they’re not all Suzukis…

My car (the Reno), the Forenza, and the Verona are all built at Daewoo factories in Korea and Vietnam out of Vauxhall/Opel/Holden parts (I have a 2.0L ECOTEC motor and a Getrag D20 (F20) tranny). They share nothing but a badge with the rest of the Suzuki line. They’re all sold as Chevys in Canada.

From what i hear, the rest of the Suzuki line is in the shop constantly.
