Hey guys i figured i would ask this over here, becuase i dont want to start a flame war over on Clubgp. Im going to order a performance PCM and cant decide which company i want to go with. ZZperformance(DHP) or Intense’s PCM. Ive ALWAYS delt with ZZperformance. Got all my engine internals and tools from them and i loved there customer service top notch always answered any questions that i had fast. Now the bad side is its going to cost me around $250 for the DHP with custom tuning i want from them. Now if i go with intense its going to cost me $140 for all the custom tuning that i need. But ive not heard good things about intense, ive also had one little bad experience with trying to order from them in the past and i ended up canceling the order all together. The price for the intense though is so tempting i dont know what to do. I have the VS cam which is a ZZperformance cam so i know if i ordered from them the PCM would be setup for that cam. I dont know what to do, can you guys persuade me one way or the other please! :dunno:
i have heard better things about DHP’s pcm. but intense’s prices seems a little easier on the wallet. i kind of know someone from intense you really want help. he’ll really explain things for you…
its not worth the hassle to save a lil money youve got alot inthe car already whats another 250 !! go with DHP ive heard nothing but goodthings !!!

I had the the DHP with 1.9’s,headers,3.0" etc and it worked great. That’s what I would go with

i have a GT but i’ve ran both intense and DHP and the intense just seems like the stock pcm with the speed limiter removed, the DHP u truely notice a difference
ill be ordering dhp from zzp within 3 weeks! ill let u know? i hope it makes a big diff! but we will see they claim 35hp and all kinds of stuff.

Yea i think im gonna just stay with what i know is good and do the DHP. I also debated on ordering the SS intercooler BUT i dont wanna blow my tranny apart so im just gonna stop at the DHP. Thanks for the help and suggestions guys!
get a spare set of fuel rail lines to modify and get the short stack-
your tranny can/will blow totally stock so dont worry about it.
got dhp in now and i love it what a diff im also going to do a ss intercooler too! 3.0 pulley

greg…u need ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOT more b4 you can get an intercooler and 3.0 man,u just can,t throw on an intercooler and think u can run a 3.0! U have to (tune) it with a AFC and alot of other things man,just don,t go and do that!!! U still don,t know enough about these cars to do that,take my word for it!
The 3.0" pulley fuckin rocks, you gotta buy one. I still have mine.

My INTENSE MPS & New Goodyear Gatorback Belt is actually listed on ebay right now.
Starting bid is only $80. New the Pulley system is $129 and the belt is like $24 I believe.
i was told from zzp that i could put an intercooler on and run a 3.0 i was goign to go up there for the install! welp tell me what i need then because by next summer i plan on doing this!

My brake calipers went bad so i just got done doing the F-Body caliper swap so that postponed the DHP but hopefully next week ill get the DHP and maybe some poly motor mounts. Was gonna run the car up at motordrome tonite, 1/8th mile but my dip stick broke when i went to look the car over before driving it up there. So im taking that as a sign that it doesnt want to be run tonite lol. Im heading up there anyways though just to watch the races in my van.
First make sure you have a 3" Downpipe before you even think 3.0", even if you have an intercooler. The stock DP is only 2 1/4", you deffinately need to get rid of that next. I would deffinately go with a Cam or Intense rockers before you get the intercooler. After cam/ rockers run the 3.2 or 3.25". On a cold night you may be able to run a 3.1".
On a side note I ran a 13.8 on 2.0 60ft with 3.25" and cai as my only mods on a really cold night.When it gets cold out you can run a smaller pulley. With your mods and a 3" DP I would run the 3.25". Some people will tell you that you need rockers but I ran the 3.25" from the day I bought the car with less supporting mods than you and it ran great.
The reason I say you could probally run a 3.25" is because for me to be able to run a 13.8 with stock Downpipe and No DHP I obviousley had little to 0KR or I would have been in the 14’s. Going to a 3" DP will get rid of alot or KR (That a 3.25" may cause) and the DHP will help out alot as well. Any questions?
