I started the car and drove around for a bit
then went in to wal mart for like 5 mins and then it didnt want to start again.
it kept cranking over and i could feel the fuel lines pulsing.
I then came back about an hour later and it started right up,does this sound like a resistor heating up and shitting out?
okay i think i might know what the problem is but i need a part number.
I believe the block resistor for the ignition is crapping out on me.
It is located on the strut tower wall.
Does anyone know if 240s or 300’s have the same part number?
thanx again,
Garret
ok sooo
i got the part number and of course every nissan dealership pretty much hangs up on me when i tell them the part number and that the car is from japan.
does anyone know where i can get this part?
its located on the passenger side firewall and the part number is
A15-000J06
it also has 8820 right underneath that number.
They will get it from japan and it’ll take a while. I’ve gotten gaskets from them before. Other than that, I think you are going to have to do some searching.
Its unfortunate you swapped if a very, very rare engine. Ask someone on nicoclub.com, they have a good rb section and some have neo’s.
well i had one from the neo but the bracket was cracked and the part number was the same so i threw it out.
i managed to talk to nguyen today at autodream, and hes taking one off of a car he has there and giving it to me so i will post up here if it makes a difference.I sure hope it does.
