Need help!! Skyline wont start!!!!

Here’s the deal, just finished swapping in an rb25det into an 89 gts m, anyway, everything was fine until buddies key broke off in his ignition, called a lock smith, and he fixed that problem. But the lock smith said when he stuck everything back together something sparked on the column, I figured no big deal right, maybe a blown fuse. Now heres something to consider, before he put the cylinder and housing back in for the ign, he tried it and it started, but after he did that is when it sparked, and since it hasn’t started. It cranks, seems like no fuel, I cant here the fuel pump running, and I havent checked for spark yet. So I check all the fuses, two are blown, but guess what, I dont know what they are!!! Cause I dont read Japanese… replaced both fuses and the one seems fine, but one of the three 10a fuses under the “BAT” sub heading on the dash panel, keeps blowing no matter what kind of fuse I stick in there. but then I put a thirty in, and now it seems ok, doesnt blow. But it still wont start.

I need a translated fuse diagram, or even if someone can tell me what those three are under “BAT” on the dash fuse panel.

and an rb20det or 25det ecu pin out would be nice as well. I think one of two things

ecm power is not there, I have too ecu’s and neither work, so not the ecu, maybe the power lead from the back of the ign to supply power to the ecu is fried, which with a pin I can supply alternate power to the ecu.

or

fuel pump fuse/ fuel pump is cooked or ign lead for fuel pump is shorted/melted etc…

need some help here people, otherwise instead of a one hour fix, this will become an 8 hour fix.

could this be a ralay problem perhaps??? dont have a lot of relay issues with nissans.
peace

Check for power to your starter relay. That is a possibility.

Do a search on gtrcanada.com, there’s a fusebox diagram somewhere in the tech section I believe.

starter relay cant be problem, motor cranks, but thanks anyway!!!
keep trying to help me people, fuel pump Is not running, and ecu has power but has a code11.

This will help if you need info on the fuses

the main power up harness for the ECU is in the pass side froont corner. I believe power for ecu is black with white line and back up is smaller red wire. I say unplug the clip and just take a scrap wire and hold it on the black with white line right to the Battery and I bet it will power up the ecu and it willl start. It sounds like you have a grounding problem in the fuse box in the engine bay or in the ignition harness on the ignition switch.

Id also want to take some readings on the ignition itself. If you do this it will pretty much help me tell you exactly what the problem is.

Here is your ignition wires. This info is off the top of my head cuz Chris has my folder on wire info for Nissans so I will get that back from him and make sure but you should still get readings off each point and tell me whatt hey are.

black/yellow line
white/red line
blue
black/ green line
black/ white

^^^those are the wires on your ignition^^^
give me a test on every wire on each point on the ignition and I will get my book back from Chris and tell you whats wrong. But if you want to see if the car will run just jump that wire I told you above. The only reason the car still wont start with the 30A fuse is cuz its still grounded out and is not throwing that circut in closed loop but jumping the circit leaving it open. The only reason the fuse isnt blowing is cuz the ground in that curcut is giving power to some other place and its not enough resistance to blow it. Thats why you are blowing a 10A fuse. I dont recomend puting in a higher Amp fuse than recomended. Thats when you can start to melt wires and possable start a fire.

If you dont understand what I told you gimmie a call on my cell or add me to MSN. (403) 315-2341. Hope I jelp dude!!!

I feel like a a-hole… I solved the problem that night, it was a combination of things, relays fuses, cut wires, thought I posted about it, sorry for you making that long ass post. Lifes good now, the skylines gone.
