So then if you move to Italy would you be an italian american italian? Because you sure wouldnt just be an italian. Everyone would be refering to you as an American. Not an Italian american.
Sorry but i have to agree with Jeg on this one. If you personally immigrated to this country its one thing. But if you are born and raised in this country you are an American. Plan and simple. Want proof? Go to another country and watch as you are refered to as an American, not an Irish American, African American, etc. Everyone is too worried about what makes them different then what makes everyone the same, and that is one big problem not only in this country but the world.
And if you really want to get technical everyone is african american because all of our ancestors came from africa if you go back far enough.
