Gun enthusiasts.....Let's play a little game.

Over the past year or so it has become quite apparent that there are more than a handful of gun enthusiasts on this forum. This is great news to me. I am a closet gun nut and have been around and shooting guns longer than I can remember. Longer than I’ve been welding and that’s a long time. “Blowing shit up” as a few friends like to say, crosses my mind on a daily basis :lol

So, with the upcoming holiday I thought I’d put your love for guns and it’s related knowledge to the test and at the same time give you something worth playing towards. Pictured below are a shitload of bullets. Each bullet represents a different caliber rifle, handgun, or shot gun that is currently owned and in use between myself and my father. Yes, for every round below there is AT LEAST one gun in this household that can shoot it(some there are multiple guns  ) Some I forgot we even owned. There are actually four other rifle calibers that I did not have any loaded ammunition for and therefor did not list them in this test. I will get into this more.

Ok, rules. Very simple and they must be followed or you will be disqualified:

-Contest will run through the week starting as soon as this is posted and winner will be determined on Friday 12/9 in the late evening(whenever I get around to it after work).
-Each member is allowed only ONE POST and one post only.
-You are NOT allowed to edit the post once it’s entered. I WILL be checking up on this and yes there are ways to find out.
-Keep the banter to a minimum. If you want to post something else in your answer feel free to do so but no crazy off topic chitchat. Remember, you post more than once and you are DQ’ed!!! No excuses, no 2nd chances.
-You must list the exact caliber/type of the round. Example: 338 Lapua. Most may be quite apparent and there are others I’ll bet you’ll won’t know. While some rounds may look identical, they are in fact all different. There are subtle differences between a few.
-You must list the caliber in the order that they are shown, LEFT to RIGHT then Top to Bottom. In other words top row first, then bottom row(both left to right) If you DO NOT know a particular caliber you must enter a *** in it’s appropriate place or your entire list will be off.
-In the event of a tie between members, I will create a method of determining the winner to be disclosed at that time. Those members involved in the tie must all be present at a time TBD for the tie breaker to occur. all infor regarding this will be posted at the end if it’s needed.

OK, so what do you win? Well in the spirit of this competition what else…stuff you can use towards your guns of course! The winner will receive:

-One box of any caliber ammunition up to $30 value(certain caliber excluded, IE 338 lapua)
-A rifle gunsock. These are actually quite nice.
-Some misc cleaning accessories(non-caliber specific)
-Possibly some other goodies.

I will give no hints except the one below, this is not meant to be easy and anyone that get’s more than 50% of these right is doing good. I encourage you not to cheat even though there’s no way for me to deter it. I will DQ you if I do happen to find you were, however that may be.

HINT: There are FOUR rifles that I have here that I did not have any ammunition loaded up to fit them, just empty brass and therefor are not shown in the picture. Thus you can rule them out. These are:

8mm Mauser
25-06 Remington
300 Winchester Mag
300 Weatherby Mag

If for whatever reason the picture is not visible PM me, do not post here!

The shotgun shells stumped more people than I thought, and I’m quite surprised that someone actually labled the .32 winchester special. The two I knew that would be a fight were the 250 savage and the 22-250 rounds. They’re almost identical, with the 22-250 having a slightly necked down case and bullet diameter.

Suck it, JVG!

must have been nice for you to have a quality list to compare and give you ideas prior. I that that sweet list before mine to use. :lol

I didn’t take any from your list sweetheart.

i call bull shit

If I was stealing from your list, don’t you think I would’ve had answers for ALL of the rounds, and not had four blanks? The only thing I took from your list was the organizational setup LOL.

Ugh. I’m so mad at myself. I never even thought of the .250 savage. If I did then I would have known 4 was 22-250 and not 3. I’m really mad at myself about that. You got me good there. The .44 mag and .357 were tough also.

This was a great idea and a lot of fun. Thanks for doing it boxer six. Some of them really got me good. Like the .264 I was sure was a 7mm mag lol.

I just thought it would be fun. Wish more people played to make it more interesting(actually playing vs copying answers).

I actually had another round I could have put up there. Completely forgot that my dad had a .22 hornet and found a box of 100 hand loaded rounds for it downstairs in the ammo cabinet. That makes five guns that were not listed :tongue

V8, you’ll have to let me know what caliber of ammo you want(single box up to $30value) and I’ll go pic it up this coming week and put the rest of the goodies together for you to pick up.

5.7x28! 5.7x28!
