Im looking to purchase a tactical assault rifle, and was wondering what you guys would reccomend. I want something that packs a BIG punch, can hold alot of ammo, and has availability to be modded. Im fairly new to guns, so post up, pics help too :lol. Thanks ahead of time :thumbup
If you want something that can legally have a high ammo capacity you need to look for a preban rifle. I would suggest either some variant of an AR 15 you can get it in basically an caliber you want. It handles easily with very good target aquistition and can be configured how ever you want. A major factor is how much money do you want to spend?

Dude… if its for protection, dont buy some crazy ar 15, get yourself a pump action 12 gauge. Id much rather have a 12 gauge with bird shot than a rifle if i actually had a situation in my house.

I’m not a huge fan of AR15’s, I like simple guns. My AK47…that’s pretty damn simple but crudely made and not as accurate as an AR.
My reccomendation for home defense; pistol grip 12ga shot gun or a handgun(can’t go wrong with a revolver). You’re more than welcome to try a few guns out I own if you want to make the trip to VT.

Thats right, I forgot the shitty part about NY is the permits you need for guns.
In that case, Ruger Mini 30, pistol grip shotty, AK47 or 74, or something along those lines.
