Thinking about a Beretta CX4 Storm, in 9mm if i can pick it up for cheap.
I dont want something thats going to be a ton of maintenance, easy to clean, cheap to shoot, fun to take to the range, not going to put a round through my neighbors house if god forbid it be used in self-defense and miss (aka, an AR is out of the question)
“When folded, the SUB 2000 perfectly fits into a standard business-style briefcase. While many uses can be imagined for the little carbine, perhaps the best reason to own one is that it’s just plain fun!”

Sounds like you want an AK. I love mine. only $350
rifles are not good for home protection, houses near where i live are about 10 ft apart… ill shoot the neighbors dog, daughter, etc etc… if i were to ever miss. AK/AR was the idea prior to talking with people about a first gun.
Not only missing, but the AK uses a 7.62 x 39 mm round. that will go through a body and still through the wall. But is definatly is everything you listed except that factor.
Clarence gun show. They are amongst the cheapest made gun out there. But that why they are so reliable, because of the simplicity and lack of plastic parts. Mine came with a 5 and 30 round magazine. Don’t ever pay more that 400 for an AK and 100 for an SKS.
9mm is not that great for home defense either… it tends to blow right though stuff at close range and this can lead to extra holes where they don’t need to be.
I had a Sub 2K in 9mm and it was fun but after shooting one that was .40 that is all I would ever own if i was to buy another. .40 has mucho better stopping power and it stays in the target more of the time.
the sub 2k is a great little gun small and compact (almost to a point of feeling like a toy). it tends to be rather fussy when it comes to ammo, test as much as you can and clean it and enjoy it.
I have used the CX4 it’s interesting but to be honest I want more from a rifle, if I’m going to get a carbine, it’s gonna be the sub 2000, can’t beat it.
M4s are nice and small pack a little punch, AR 15 same deal
xd9/xd40/xd45 love this gun or maybe nice 1911 great gun to take to the range fun to shoot. If youre looking for something a little cheaper i used to have a taurus baby 9mm, i love these smaller handguns and this fits nicely in your hand and doesnt have to much kick but still has good stopping power.
