GV1390's Trattoria "Racer"

I was riding dirty yesterday but i’ll have the insurance and reg upped (for ny :)) here today. I’ll be either replacing my clutch discs or tightening the spring bolts tonight. Clutch is slipping pretty bad under heavier load.

Count me in for Taco’s… Where at this week?

stay tuned. ill figure that out today and post an IG flyer

Looks great so far!

Little update…
The motor is finally back together for the 3rd time. It had to be torn down the last time due to forgetting to install the o-rings around the bottom of the jugs to the block. In that process, a 10mm bolt on the outside that connects the head to the jugs snapped, what a joy that was to fix. Also, when taking my powder-coated valve cover off the corner of it where there is a mounting hole broke. My spare valve cover was broken in the exact same spot. I got lucky and scored a local one from a 77-78 for $25!
I also ended up with some nice Hagon 13.2" shocks. Last night I tossed some pieces together quickly just to get an outline how it will look, obviously it has to come back apart for final install but I couldn’t wait, here is what I came up with:

that looks quite good, can’t wait to see the finished product.

Thank you sir! I can’t wait as well.

Looks awesome.

I’m hoping there is some bracing for that beautiful exhaust, yes?

Yup. There is a threaded spot towards the tip. Going to make a standard brace, nothing fancy.

So awesome. The lines from the tank to seat look good. @newman did a great job with the tank man, LOVE the look overall!

Mocked the spare headlight up quickly…

Also, drilled and riveted a new vin tag replacement since the factory one was in rough shape:

Thats pretty cool. Never realized you could replace the tags with new ones. Looks good

Hurry up so we can cruise!

Looks fucking money. I hope you’ll be riding this before summer 2016. Lets go!

PS, great choice in going with those raised clip-ons versus the other bars. IMO

Thanks!

It’ll be out by the end of this summer, hopefully.

The clip-ons are temporary since Nick had them laying around, it’ll be getting raised Woodcrafts.

Regardless, it’s the right look for the bike.

Ugh, so nice. I think I may sell mine out here (the market is insane) and build another when I move home. My ratty jobber can fetch some insane money out here.

hey:

Where did you get the replacement tag and what rivet tool do you own?

School me…

Right. I’m looking forward to part ways with the Nighthawk out there once I ride it on over in August, should fetch a decent buck as it’s pretty clean.

Drill a hole, pop rivets in, boom.

Very cool… could also be sketchy, right? LOL

How far you taking the bike again? Whats the trip? Nighthawk is your chariot for it? Very cool!

Sketchy is fun.

Total riding time should be about 60 hours. Yosemite, GC, Northern CA, etc. Brian is planning the route and could elaborate more on it and yes, my Nighthawk 750; she’s a good girl.

STarting on the bike in NY?
