FU. I only run clearcoat.
Some pics of the primered short block again:
A little teaser on some of the powder-coated pieces from Justin @Detective_Coating:
Tomorrow the short block will get some paint…my jugs and powder-coated covers should be in next week. Making moves!
Nice work G. Love it.
Thank you! Don’t be a stranger mister.
All the pieces I had coated in one picture:
Engine is getting paint tonight, tires will be mounted on Sunday. Woot woot.
This is going to look real nice when it’s all finished
Thanks!
Short block got some paint, not bad for a rattle can.
Mounted the tires with some help from Nick:
Test fit the seat and tank combo for the first time with the rubber mounts in, pretty nice fitment:
My powder-coated pieces should be in tomorrow. Then I have to find some new rings hopefully today and order them, hone the jugs and start the final assembly of the long block.
Is that a new seat cover? Reminds me of the Nardi wheel I put in my car. I love that black/red stitching look.
Seat looks great, love the stitching dude.
this looks good
Bump.
So after re-soda blasting it yet again, I removed the spare head/jugs I had on it, wire-wheeled it a bunch and pretty much soaked it in acetone before paint. Same paint was used, just with no primer this time and very light coats. Seems to be holding up pretty good so far.
Re-ringed and cleaned the pistons along with a hone job on the jugs and started with the assembly.
In the process I also installed a new cam chain along with all new gaskets.
Can’t say thank you enough to @focusinprogress for helping out a ton on getting it to this point.
The swing arm also recieved new bronze bushings…the frame and swingarm are getting painted this week. Next up is to make this thing a roller after a few more small odds and ends.
nice.
I like this. Nice work ya chooch
not enough pictures of proscuitto and espresso…
