You go the car local right?
Did you get it off a kid named Evan by chance? jw
my best friend has a galant vr4 1388/2000 or something like that.
it puts 368awhp down. the thing is a best. eats up turbos fast though.
must be buying them fro eBay. there is not reason he should go through turbos if hes buying MHI turbos, or Garrett…must get them from some non oem vendor, claiming them to be MHI
Yea you should never eat through a decent turbo. Unless particles are going through his compressor.
or if the oil or coolant hose is cloged
unless youre retarded you should pick up on a clogged oil line quick, it would smoke something awful. most DSM’s ive seen arent using coolant in the turbos, usually have that fitting capped off near the block… just one more thing to worry about, you know being a past dsm owner, youve got enough to worry about already
i am planning to run 15psi for now on stock fuel system. then this winter get cams and fuel system.
yea i got it from evan
something is definitly wrong if he is eating turbos
I think its possibly cause its runs 22ish pounds on high boost setting on a 16g. They were not ebay turbos either and he did not cap the coolant lines. One just blew all the seals but that one was old and was on the car when he bought it. I looked like it had been abused. the other was a brand new garrett and after 3 months the bearings were fucked or something. I cant remember i havent seen him in a while.
you were right…they are kinda ugly!
when did you pick up the rims? Or did they come with it?
i never caped off the coolant lines, and i never had a problem with them besides breaking off one of the banjo bolts one time.
for 22psi your gonna need 550cc or higher injectors and a rewired walbro255lp alogn with a afpr so you dont overrun the stock fpr
his car is fully built.
im getting 660cc injectors and my pump is already rewired. then plan on running 22psi next year.
i just bought the wheels, they are getting painted black.
that means nothing. built isnt a fuel system.
yep, it can be built to the hill and have a wrong supporting fuel mod and run lean and fuck up a ring land or burn up some valves or worse
we shall see how this turns out. 660s should be enough. my old roomate was maxing 660s at 20psi on his FP green on his talon… base pressure was very high too, he would have been fine with 780s on his setup
well im running the wide band in the car at all times so i can tell if im lean, if thats the case ill turn it down.
dont rely on that. it could still be too little too late.
I had 18psi on an fp green with 950’s :ninja My duty cycle was stupendous
who knows what next year will bring, time will tell.
