the funny thing is, most “bleeding heart liberals” have the same environmental values as gun-toting conservative hunters, yet the right-wing talk show hosts try to paint us as commies. they use asshole eco-terrorists (like those who booby trap trees to harm loggers) as an example of the entire left wing… That would be like advocating veganism by pointing out that Jeffrey Dahmer ate meat.
There’s this thing I read about in Mother Jones last month that I fucking love: They’re auctioning off the right for a hunter to kill one animal of an endangered species, and all the proceeds go toward growing the population of the species. Wealthy businessmen are paying tens of thousands to shoot a single animal, which provides them with a unique kill, and provides the “bleeding heart liberals” with the funding to keep the species from extinction.
