ALWAYS ALWAYS check the chamber. Doesn’t matter if you know you put it away unloaded the day before, or an hour before, whenever you handle a firearm always make sure you check the chamber is clear. Especially if it had a loaded magazine in it, which it sounds like in this case it was loaded. Guys a fucking idiot for not checking after pulling out a loaded magazine
