This is why we can't have nice things

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Idiots shouldn’t have guns as they ruin it for the rest of us gun owners.

Example 1 from today.

Man Who Purchased Assault Rifles for Fear of Weapons Ban Aims Them at Daughter Over Disappointing Grades

http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18cmjkmjbxny2jpg/original.jpg

The teenage daughter of a Minnesota man is accusing him of a pointing an AK-47 at her because she brought home a disappointing report card.

Kirill Bartashevitch, 52, of St. Paul was arrested and charged with two counts of felony terroristic threats for allegedly threatening his daughter and wife with an assault rifle.

Police say Bartashevitch recently purchased the weapons because he was concerned that President Obama was planning to ban them.

The incident report states that on Sunday January 13th, Bartashevitch and his daughter got into an argument after the 15-year-old received two B’s instead of two A’s. The victim told a social worker that she swore at Bartashevitch and told him she “hated” him, causing him to snap.

Bartashevitch subsequently pointed one of his newly purchased rifles at his daughter, prompting his wife to stand in the line of fire. He pushed her down and then pointed the rifle at her as well.

Upon his arrest, Bartashevitch reportedly confessed to the crime, telling police he knew the weapon wasn’t loaded because he checked the rifle’s chamber before training it on his loved ones.

Receipts found at his house show that Bartashevitch sold the rifles to two local gun shops the following week.

Bartasevitch remains in jail today after his bail was set at $20,000. If convicted he faces an addition five years behind bars.

Example 2 from within a week:

‘Stupidity’ led to Texas shooting, sheriff says

(CNN) – The exact subject of the argument that led to a shooting at a Houston-area community college hadn’t been determined Wednesday, but Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia said he had a general idea of the cause.

“Idiocy. Stupidity,” Garcia told reporters. “We had individuals who did not care about putting other people in harm’s way. It was a ridiculous, adolescent confrontation that occurred. But if we can make an example out of anyone, we will.”

Pressed for details, Garcia added, “We’re still clearing that up. But a confrontation occurred, and somebody thought, in their peanut-sized brain, that maybe a firearm on a campus would be the way to settle it.”

Garcia’s blunt assessment came a day after three people were wounded at Lone Star College. One of those shot, 22-year-old Carlton Berry, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and remains under guard at a hospital, Garcia said. The other two were still hospitalized as well, he said.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether a second suspect was involved, Garcia said. And he appealed to the public for help in trying to find the weapon used in Tuesday’s shooting, which sent hundreds of students running from the suburban campus and swarms of sheriff’s deputies, police and firefighters rushing to the scene.

The shooting happened roughly a month after the massacre at a Newtown, Connecticut, elementary school that left 26 dead, including 20 children ages 6 and 7. Garcia said that the situation in Houston “was nothing like” the Newtown killings.

Example 3 from also a week or so:

Teen Planned to Attack Walmart After Killing Family

According to new information released by police today, Nehemiah Griego, the 15-year-old son of an Albuquerque pastor, had plans to kill his family, his girlfriend’s family, and local Walmart shoppers for weeks before he acted on the impulse on Sunday.

If there keep being idiot gun owners, you will keep the society thinking guns are the problem.

Hennessy’s coinage of RGO - Responsible Gun Owner should really take off and get more support as a mantra.

Discuss…

I think you’ll see a lot of goofy stories like these because so many people rushed to buy guns so recently.

And the media will eat this right up.

This is beautiful filler gossip sensational headlines for newspapers.

Millions of RGO’s didn’t do anything outrageous.

One idiot points an AK47 at his daughter AND wife over B type grades instead of A’s and thats all that the nation sees and hears about.

:ponder

Holy shit. The media acknowledged there is another type of firearm besides an AR15. Finally.

This is all within a week or so

An Iowa gun dealer was hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in the hand before a gun show Friday afternoon at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The 54-year-old St. Charles resident told police he was showing off a .25 caliber pistol he thought was unloaded when he slid the action of the gun causing it to fire. The bullet went through his left palm, according to a Polk County Sheriff’s report.

The man told police he was trying to dry fire, or fire the gun without a round in it. He said the gun was unloaded when he checked it earlier in the week and he didn’t know who would have loaded it. Police found another loaded gun on the man’s table and unloaded it, according to the report.

INDIANAPOLIS – Police say a 54-year-old Indianapolis man was injured when he accidentally shot himself while leaving a gun show.
Indiana State Police say Emory L. Cozee was loading his .45 caliber semi-automatic when he shot himself in the hand Saturday afternoon as he was leaving the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife show at the state fairgrounds.
Loaded personal weapons are not allowed inside the show.

A person is in stable condition at a northern Ohio hospital after being shot by his business partner at a gun show run by Conrad and Dowdell Productions, said Medina police Chief Patrick Berarducci.
The original owner of the Taurus semi-automatic 9 mm handgun used in the shooting brought the firearm into the show fully loaded. This is despite the policy of searches to make sure all guns are not loaded and rendered safe before others can handle them.
The man who bought the gun told police that he took it out, then accidentally fired it, said Berarducci. A single bullet ended up going into the arm and thigh of this man’s business partner.

RGO’s will never be at peace and left alone if these idiots exist

:facepalm

“Man Who Purchased Assault Rifles for Fear of Weapons Ban Aims Them at Daughter Over Disappointing Grades”

Burst out laughing, fucking IDIOTS.

If I were the local authorities, municipalities and governments I would welcome the flood of retards with guns now. Great money maker. Let the dumb kill themselves, and process/prosecute the ones that unfortunately hurt others to the fullest.

Ya cant stop stupid. Might as well profit from it I guess.

KK picks up his other new “ohhhh noez gotta go buy a gun” gun this evening. I enjoyed shooting mine last week responsibly, and enjoyed being educated on its use. Now, with the wifes Mossy 500 comes home, we will enjoy them responsibly together.

Its really not a hard concept to blending in to the “good” of society.

http://www.krem.com/news/Fourth-grade-hero-calls-alerting-school-to-weapons-to-right-choice-190520041.html

The Stevens Co. prosecutor said in court Friday the 10- and 11-year-old boys planned to kill an ex-girlfriend and hurt seven others. They were expelled for bringing the knife, as well as a gun and ammunition to school. Justin says the offer didn’t matter. He knew blowing the whistle was the right thing to do.

*le sigh

And this by chance, i dunno…

The suspects, who KREM 2 has chosen not to name, began planning this attack at least two weeks ago, investigators say. They add the gun the boy brought to school was stolen.

From parents most likely.

Wife of deputy shot and killed in Wilson County accident

A 4-year-old gained access to a gun at family gathering

good idea. Leave all the guns loaded, cocked and safty off. I dont have kids, and the one gun in the house for defense has 5 rounds in the tube, none chambered and safty on… and even that worries me. People come over and they are removed from the tube and guns hidden. (I need a safe, yes I know)

5-Year-Old Fatally Shot 2-Year-Old Sister With Gun He Received as Gift

The rifle, which was usually stored in one of the home’s corners, was inadvertently left loaded, according to White. The boy’s mother was home at the time of the shooting.

“The little boy’s used to shooting the little gun," White said, before saying the shooting will be ruled accidental. “Just one of those crazy accidents.”

Brilliant.

I really want to call it Darwinism, but this is just taking it to a whole new level. Not thinking a gun can hurt someone for any reason if not always handled correctly is 1. how it happens, and 2. the most illogical thought to have in your head. That’s like having a pet Grizzly bear in your house and forgetting YOU LIVE WITH A FUCKING GRIZZLY BEAR.

Let’s just go back to using medieval weapons, mmk? Replace little Johnny’s rifle with a morning star - know what I mean?

TAMPA - The accidental shooting death of a 3-year-old in Tampa on Tuesday night has contributed to the ongoing debate over gun control and shed light on what the state requires to issue a concealed firearm permit.

Killed was Jadarrius Speights, a toddler who found a loaded 9 mm handgun in his uncle’s backpack around 7 p.m. Tuesday and pulled the trigger.

His uncle, Jerry D. Walker, 29, held a concealed firearm permit, which requires he take a safety class that might or might not have addressed safe storage of a firearm. He shared a room with Jadarrius in the north Tampa apartment complex.

Thirteen year old Ohio boy admits killing mom in fight over chores

In January 2011, the boy went to a neighbor’s house, called 911 and told the dispatcher he had shot his mother at their home in rural Holmes County, about 70 miles northeast of Columbus. “I shot my mom. I shot her with a gun,” he said.
At the time, his uncle said the boy and his mother had argued over carrying firewood.
Defense attorney Andy Hyde said the boy lived in an emotionally abusive environment, was provoked by his mother’s screaming and “just snapped.”

Green Beret Iraq Veteran Shot To Death By 4 Year Old Son

He said it appears to be a “tragic accident.”

Bonney said Thomas and the boy had gone up from the Valley to visit Thomas’ old roommate when the boy found the gun and accidentally pulled the trigger.

http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region_northern_az/other/pd-man-shot-at-prescott-valley-home-in-extremely-critical-condition

the 13yr old kid probably would have stabbed her to death, sufficated her in her sleep, cut the brake lines on her car, or pushed her off a clif… he had a gun somehow and used it. no big deal. Idiots see the bullet as the problem, intelligent people know how to look past that and dig for the root cause for the incident.

2nd story… when the kid says daddy whats this, I also call parenting fail. Especially a parent that is in and ARMED services, you would think the moment the kid could talk and tie his own shoes it might be time to teach the kid what daddy does and what a gun is… especially when I am willing to bet the dad has one or a few around the household. I had a graduation party at my house sunday for my wife, befor the little kids came with their parents… guns were unloaded if they were loaded, ammo was put away and guns put away. Granted it was a scheduled visit and that case above was out of the blue, your a retard leaving a loaded, chambered, and saftey off gun in the house just laying on the living room table. But again, its his right to do so, as unsafe as it may be… thats why this is called an accident. Thats life.

Neglegent acting resulting in death isn’t “accidents” you will still be tried and put away for your actions.

The whole “oh well it’s just an accident” attitude doesn’t sit well with people and sure as fuck doesn’t comfort the families of the dead guy.
