i have a hg10, and i like it…
not high end by any means, but its HD
peoples reviews seem to like that?
hows the batter life? vid. quality? picture quality with motion(i.e. does it shock easily?) how heavy is it? does it have the universal mounting location on the bottom?(the threaded hole for mounts/tripods/etc.?)

Canon makes some really awesome HD camcorders. I really want one. The one above goes for ~1000-1200. But they also have have some for around 500-700 that shoot really nice video the HV20 and HV30. My friend, who is a film major and has filmed stuff Link, was surprised at the quality of this hand held camcorder.
