I’ve done this on cars before… unfortunately the results don’t last super long
Also what i was curious about… to see how long the results last
I don’t really know why it doesn’t last more than one winter… maybe the plastic on the outside is stronger?
what? I did do the outside…
no… I’m speculating that the outside layer of the outside of the headlights is harder and more scratch resistant. once you remove that layer they might scratch more easily?
wow.
yeah I think I’m just gonna grab some projectors so I can get me some of them hid’s.
none of that angel eye crap though
yeah… I’ve been researching which ones are the best value
the depo gen4s appear to be the value winner right now for me. there are all kinds of deals from the bimmerforums vendors… some great values with 55watt hids thown in. http://bavtoys.com/ have some good info and decent prices (but i have seen them lower)
ha
Novus, shit works wonders on arcade games that little kids scratch shit into. Let alone a feeble headlight.
wont work on headlights Devon…
Polish Number 3
Novus Plastic Polish No. 3 removes heavy scratches and abrasions from most acrylic surfaces. Contains abrasives, not for use on eyeglasses, polycarbonate, or coated plastics. Final finishing requires Novus No. 2
Polycarbonate and coated plastics cover basically all headlights
Depo gen4’s with 6000k HID’s for $175

I’ll probably do that, and get the lamin-x as well
Sweet. i actually just did the Xenon conversion on my car(no angel eyes thankfully. i really need to get the writeup done). The only thing i have to do is have the LCM reprogramed because the blown headlight indicator lights up untill i turn on the Xenons. Cant remember wether or not youl have that issue with your car thogh. If memory serbes you should be good.
yeah, that’s that deal I was looking for… I wouldn’t bother with laminex… the headlights are so cheap that if you still have them when they look bad you can just buy another set - but chances are you will have moved on by then.
back on topic to beamer humpers
had a bunch of hits but still have yet to use this kit on any other vehicles… If you guys need this done lemme know i would prefer to do this before it snows…
