The base Mustangs had 2.3’s from '74-'93.

You said (kidding) 2.3 4 banger. I was kidding when I responded with SVO (which was a 2.3 4 banger). I know they were only 84-86.

There were also 2.3 turbo’s in '79-'82 (83?) Mustangs. Carbs, not fi like the SVO’s.
