As some of you’ve know my father passed away on friday the 15th. I am in charge of taking care of the estate and everything as my brother and sister can’t do it. I need to find a Lawyer or Legal Adviser preferably the LA as what needs to be done by them is easy and will cost a lot less with an LA.
If you know or have worked with someone/place that will help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time and for any help.

If you are the executor(sp?) of the estate … your all set … everything is yours …
My old man died in 2000 … and everything fell on me … I let the bank repo his truck (after i stripped any good parts) … all credit cards i just called and told them what happened … then just sent a copy of the death cert. it was pretty basic …
if stuff is paid off ie ,car ,house, whatever … all you need to do is get paperwork transfered into your name …

That’s just it there is no will or executor of the estate. My brother and sister have both said they want me to take care of everything and that I get the house and such. I need the lawyer/LA to appointment me as the executor.

I’m sorry man, I know much it sucks to have to deal with this stuff. My dad died suddenly in January of last year. No will, no nothing. I’m the oldest, so I was considered the executor. Just call the companies and tell them your situation. They are all usually pretty understanding and willing to help you out in any way. I personally didn’t use a lawyer, but I had a lot of family help.
On a side note, make sure you give yourself time to grieve. You’ll get so caught up in paperwork, that sometimes you forget to be human and grieve.
