Help me identify these T56s.

Already posted this on LS1Tech but figured some of you guys right know.

I may have an opportunity to buy these and I’m wondering what they’re out of, and what they’re worth.

I have no clue what these are from, but they look to be from Corvettes. I don’t know if they’re C5/C6 application, or maybe something else.

Total of 3 transmissions.

Looks to be a Tremec TR6060, according to the TUET6613.

Case Casting Number off of one of them, don’t remember which

What vehicles/applications are these out of?

You can probably use the design of the tailshaft to figure out what they go to.

Like I said they look to be from Corvettes, but I’m not sure if C5/C6, or what. I have literally no information on them.

C6 would be very expensive to make work

the first is from a 08+ 6.2L vette. the second is from a 01-07 z06. the third is from a 2010 grand sport.

They are all from Corvettes. Why are you looking at a C5 or C6 transmission for a RWD car? If you are looking for a transmission to use that still has the triple cone synchros you would be better off with a GTO transmission or Chevy SSR (but there wasn’t many made)

i do not want to convert this for my car. I just have the opportunity to buy them cheap and use them as credit towards rebuilding a RWD style T56 through a rebuilder.

Why don’t you just contact magnum and skip all the trouble

because i don’t feel like spending thousands and thousands to “skip all the trouble”…

so, here’s the trans i’m looking at. before i drive all the way down there i’d like to make sure it’s LS1 application.

i don’t think the case casting number can tell me the origin (1386-065-902).

i have the seller working on getting me pictures of the sticker and the metal tag under the bolt on the rear extension housing.

in the meantime, can anyone here with a trained eye tell me if this is LS1 application T56, and how can they tell? maybe the bellhousing?

i’m not a GM guy but the trans crossmember looks LS1 application.
