Hey guys, I need a Comfort Control Module for a B5 Passat. Its the box that is on the driverside floor that controls the power windows, alarm, etc. Mine whacked out. I need a new/differnet one.

Yes, I fianlly threw in the towel! Dropped it off last night, $150 later they traced it to the CCM. With it connected, was drawing .38amps? and clicking bad like a relay. With it out, was pulling .15 (what its supposed to). I told them to stop and let is sit the weekend while I try to find a replacement or they find one on the lot to test with. I didnt even ask what new was, I didnt want to know, he just said “very pricey” and I was like, FUCK! but I want it fixed. No more fucking around with my jump box in the trunk, jumping it everytime i start the car lol. Its VERY embarrassing. SO basically I find one or the dealr :hitit: me

what yr and what are the numbers off your box? interchange is fucked up on this, so need exact numbwers to make sure shit works.

I got that part and it looked like someone left it out in the rain…orange corrosian seeping out the seems of the box and the sockets. Im like, “dude, I dont even want to put this in my car, I dont even know if it works.” “Did you test it?”, I want my money back." So he was a total asshole about it. Should I send it back and let them “think about it”? or try to sell on forums. Dont know that theres much demand for ccms and I dont know if it works?
Anyway I just got bent over by dealership to get my car fixed…turned out to be…a vanity light, draining my car battery. $20 part, $380 labor WTF!!! I cant argue w the labor, electical diagnosis is a bitch, but still. motherfucker.
send it back as defective. tell them it was plugged in and didnt work. tell them the dealership did the work–not you. u only sourced the part instead of paying 300+ for a new one. if they bitch, do a charge back on your c.c. and let them fight it.
place should have atleast a 30 day warranty. tell them u found the ecu elsewhere if they try giving you shop credit. look at your sales slip-- does it have a return policy printed on it?
