the passat wont stay running all of a sudden (was fine yesterday) and i am getting a CEL.
symptoms hard start, once its started i have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running, and runs like ass.
yea, that would be great if the car started and drove
i might be able to help you out later today. my vag cable is in my car still, which is in storage so i would have to go get it first. are you in dire need of it or do you have something else you can drive? cuz i def wont be able to make it till later today
its my only car right now, we just dropped the focus off at the dealer friday 
if you can make it out this way later that would be sweet
check the air ducting between the throttle body and mass ait flow sensor. vw’s useally have some ghey air box or large hose between them that comes loose or breaks

checked under the hood, nothing is broken loose, or missing.
tried to fire it up now that its warmer out, same thing.
it will fire with your foot on the gas, and if you keep it there it will run a little, but rattles like whoa.
checked the oil, and its low?? i just changed it yesterday, and its not leaking. maybe it was still up in the engine for running a little. who knows.
i do know that i need some help from one of the vw guys who works on these things.
