Ok, so Im nto a computer guy whatsoever, and I have no idea what Im doing 90% of the time. Im really lucky I found out how to use smileys :lol. Anyways, recently my laptop has gotten very slow, has been freezing alot, and so on. Norton 360 expired awhile ago as well… Im looking to somehow clean up the computer again and make it run fast like it use to, and get some kind of good protection on it. Any advice?

AVG anti virus 9.0 my computer guy told me to download it…its free and its worked wonders for me so far, plus try a “defrag”…(Accessories, system tools, defragmentor.) It moves all the files you use more often to the front and the old ones towards the back.

AVG is decent with its virus detection, but the overall program is a piece of bloated junk.
Try Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials, both awesome AV’s
I lean more towards Microsoft Security Essentials, have had much more success with its detection rate and overall performance compared to Avast.
