He is a very smart man and has a ton of great points. However both links brought up the topic and centered around Christians. Why Christians and not ALL religions that try to explain our being? What does he have against christians that he has to specifically name them and not include all religions of which some examples are musulims, judasim, hinduism, islam, shinto, and Sikhism?
I too have a problem with extremist but realize that most Christians are not like this and as a whole are good members of society. They are productive people who in general do good. For instance I typically don’t have to worry about a Christian busting into my car at night.

I really liked the first video, but I disagree with the 2nd for a couple of reasons.
Coincidentally, most of the 2nd video would be immaterial if we disbanded the department of education.
It’s not about abstinence only vs. passing out condoms, or creation vs. evolution, so much as it is about forcing Christians (or any other group) to pay for things they don’t believe with their tax dollars. Without public education, parents could…gasp…teach children themselves about important and controversial issues, or put their children in a school that teaches it the way they think is correct…oooh, what about kids without parents? How about orphanages? Maybe mandatory adoption would help those kids…ok maybe not. It’s not a perfect world, we do the best we can with what we have.
This concept of a tax-funded school system presenting only one option is severely flawed. Nobody can call God down to testify about creation…true. Nobody can find a half “evolved” life form in existence anywhere…also true.
Personally, I say we set kids loose on google and let them decide for themselves on tough issues that us “adults” still disagree about. That would serve 2 purposes, teaching them to think for themselves, and to seek out unbiased materials. Spoonfeeding them for too long results in a lot of plagiarism, failure, and generally acting like a sheep later in life. It seems that those in charge of the Dept of Education and the current administration don’t have any problem with that.

And then there are those religions who just throw a bomb through your window if you dont go their way.
I agree that the facts of God is pushed too much, but its also lost a lot because its plagued as “wrong thinking”
I was baptized Catholic…but I did not practice bc my mom lost faith and didnt see a point in me to have it if she didnt…so when Gram took me to Church every weekend…I saw no need to be there. Had my Grandmothers faith and the faith and strength of my family (outside of my parents) not been in my life I would have ended up in the streets selling myself for gods knows what…
Im not trying to preach bc by all means, the lightning is now above my head waiting to let loose…
I am not even going to get deep into this one. This is a rough issue for me to talk about.

He is an educated mtherfker, but his opinions are pretty strong. Like a lot of other opinionists, they take what they agree with and run with it, they find what is good about it, educate themselves upon it and speak it. I dont see anything wrong with it, other than letting it skew people who are searching for their own ideas.
IMO …hehe, God is going to exist in society. People might do rash and outlandish things to remove God, but nothing will prevail from it. Nothing we do is going to over power God, the presence of God, the Truth of God. I believe that if you truely seek, you will find… for whatever that may be. If that means proving the existance of God including Creation over evolution, the answers are out there. I’ve seen countless pieces of evidence that God exists and Creation is truth. People will never accept it though b/c the people are affraid that there is something out there that they cannot be in control of. Coming up with evolution is an easy, comfortable way to spoon feed society into a logical sounding answer so that we can move on as a people, worrying about other things. I dont know if it will ever upset me to the point where I have to go out and bible bash… since there are people out there that do that already. It all comes back to ultimate TRUTH. Seek the most real and truthful answer with open eyes and I guarentee it wont be what you expect.

If the idea of God causes you to lead a meaningful productive life. Power to you.
If it causes you to infringe on other people’s ideas & way of life. Then that’s fascism.
