If Kerry was such a patriot why did he lose us the war in Vietnam? The reason I say that is because hippies like him, Hillary, and hanoi Jane caused the people to withdraw support of our leaders in effect leading to our only military defeat in our 300+ year history.

we had no business being in Vietnam. hundreds of americans were being slaughtered every day for no reason. Over 30,000 in all. This shit was very real. If you were a 20 something back then, its pretty much guaranteed that you had a friend or someone close that was killed in Vietnam. You really think that a lack of public support caused us to lose the war? the “hippies” that finally got the US to withdraw from Vietnam saved thousands of American lives from being pissed away in a pointless military operation. Who the hell are you to say that Kerry isnt a patriot? Engaging in blind nationalism during wartime is the way to be a patriot? Kerry was there. He watched his friends die. He was wounded multiple times. And when he came home, he exercised the right to free speach that HE VOULNTEERED TO DEFEND AT WHAT COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN THE COST OF HIS LIFE.
