but please dont get the wrong idea. I dont particularly like Kerry. I dont particularly like democrats. They are supposed to be for bigger government, and conservatives are supposed to be for lesser government, so theorhetically i should be GOP biased if anything, but today the two parties are seperated mostly on a few key issues, like the war, abortion, gay marriage, the war on drugs… blah blah blah.
The thing I dislike about Bush is how he panders to the religious right and finds no problem with legislating his own personal morals on the entire nation.

It’s funny, but those morals are what this country was founded on and we have begun to deterioriate as of late.
And please don’t say that the founding fathers said seperation of church and state. We know that was because they did not want a forced religion for all. Not that we should exclude religion. This country was founded on Christian values, not muslim, not hindu, not buddist. Why do we bend over backwards to accomodate them? Try to go to Syria and openly practice Christianity. Won’t happen. I’m not saying to deny people the right to believe what they want, but if they don’t fit in with the majority, fuck em. Let them go to whatever country it is where they will fit in.

I guess its easy to say that you have no problem saying FUCK YOU to all those that arent like you. Thats pretty much what GWB and the GOP are all about these days. And I guess thats pretty easy when you are an middle class white suburbian father of 2.3 kids with a white pickett fence and a 2 car garage. One would think they would be capable of leaving their religion at the door, and make decisions based on fact/common sense using their own brains. But then again, then we wouldnt have had such fun times in history like the Crusades, and the Holocaust, and such fun times in present day as Bosnia, Albania, Israel…
Personally, I don’t care for politicians in general. I think more time is spent on “how will my answer to this affect my standings” than “what are my true feelings on this”. I have a guilty until proven innocent attitude towards politicians, or maybe a “you suck until you prove that you don’t”.

This guy claims one minute that he earned three purple hearts, but the truth of the matter is, he threw half of his medals away. Now if you were proud of your service, why would you throw away the most respected military medal you can get.
He’s using his service for leverage in his election, but the truth of the matter is he’s so wishy-washy he can’t think for himself.

His post didnt say anything about making people leave the country. It said that the country was BASED on Christian principles. If these people didnt like our government, then THEY shouldnt have come HERE. But, since they are here, they shouldnt be trying to change the goverment that has worked just fine for hundreds of years.
Agreed, times are changing. But if you are gay and want to get married, then you shouldnt expect to be married in a Christian church, if thats what the church doesnt believe in.
