my testicles are hairy, would anyone like to trim them :stick:
Hmmm where to begin my response. So much ignorance, so little time.
He is proud that he fought for his country. However, the reasons for why he was fighting were unjust, so when he got back from serving his country, he came back and voiced his opinion on the war. He DID earn 3 purple hearts. Wether or not he chose to throw them away in a symbolic manner to make a point later on in his life detracts NOTHING from what he did to earn them. Why did he throw them away? It has nothing to do with wether or not he was “proud” of his service. He wasnt proud of his government for sending him there. He did it to make a point. Yes, he is using his service for leverage in the election. Its called campaigning. You know, playing to your strengths to try and get people to vote for you. Im pretty sure that this practice isnt limited to just democrats. ANd the funny thing about your comment is that Bush brings up Kerry’s war record 10x more than Kerry does. The only time kerry brings it up is when he is defending his service against whatever half-lie the GOP is propogating at the moment. How ironic, since when Kerry was out fighting for his country, Bush was sitting at home playing hookie from the Natl. Guard job daddy got him, blowing coke and racking up DUI’s.
typical neo-conservative ignorance. since this country was “founded” on christian principles, then that means that everyone else should be expected to conform to it or else not come here. Hmm maybe in actuality the congress should be passing around a peace pipe and Sitting Bull should be on the $1 bill. The government should be completly free and devoid of religion in any way shape or form. The founding fathers knew this. Thus the seperation of church and state. YOu can practice whatever the hell religion you want, whenever you want, however you want. There is NO FUCKING NEED FOR IT IN THE GOVERNMENT! You wouldnt like it if US currency read “In Allah We Trust”, would you?
They added “under God” to the pledge in the 50s… it was part of the “wholesoming” of America.
