I’m a Nissan roadracer, saw this forum and joined.
I don’t see a road race forum under motorsports but hopefully one will start up.
welcome to the board!
Do you have writeups of your moments leading up to your events? On an old dsm board, a guy entertained the ENTIRE board with wicked stories of past events…
Looks like you’ll be the road-course guru!
I don’t know about ‘guru’ but I’m sure I can come up with some good stories…
Getting our 200SX to do 1:42’s at Mosport in mostly stock form (stock engine, stock NX2000 brakes, Moton suspension) was quite an accomplishment last year.
Couple of photos taken by a fan last year at the 3 hour enduro…
And this year we’ll be racing as a support race on Sunday morning of the Toronto Grand Prix, right before the Champ cars
welcome.
sounds like that will be a nice race at the TO grand prix.
hey welcome to the site
Welcome!
Are you racing an SE, XE or GXE ?? I only live about 30-40 mins from Mosport so would love to come out to some events this year.
We race a 1995 200SX SE-R, we can get you, and anyone, else free tickets for regional racing.
I autoX a 2001 Sentra SE.
Ahhh did you say free tickets? Well that will make your popularity grow here . Just playn with ya man. Welcome to the board and I hope you enjoy your stay.
Cheers
Sasha runs in GT, we run in Touring. We’re on the track at the same time but not racing against each other directly.
The website for the series is here: http://www.touringcar.ca/

Sasha ended up 3rd overall in GT and we were in 4th in Touring, it was a good year for rookies
No prob, like I said we can arrange tickets all year, the only exceptions will be for the TGP and possibly the ALMS weekend. However we might end up recruiting for pit crew, so…
welcome
i looked at the website and im definitely interested in participating but maybe in a year or 2 but my question was this the first year for the championship or not because thats what it looks like when i checked out the site
No, the championship has been run since 2004 as the CASC TGTC (Touring GT Championship) It has now been taken on as a private venture in the hope that it will generate more interest from sponsors and fans. The website is brand new and there are some new rules, but generally it is the same series.
Some of the changes were:
In 2004, Super GT was open, no rules on car or tires, GT was open but had to run on the series spec tire (Toyo RA1) and touring was cars under 2.8L and running on Toyo RA1 up to a certain size.
In 2005, Super GT was open but had to run on Toyos, GT had to stay within certain perameters and meet a calculated race weight, Touring was 2.8L and under with limited tire size and calculated race weight.
In 2006 GT was open, running on Toyos and a had to maintain their race weight, but I believe it wasn’t as restricted to start with. Touring 1 was 2.8L and under with a maximum tire size of Toyos (235’s), Touring 2 was 2.8L and under and smaller Toyos (205’s)
Welcome,
I will def check out your races, tickets are a bonus!. If you need pps for your pit crew at the TGP let me know, as I will probably be there with a vendor.
Keep us posted.
Good luck with the upcoming season.
