Well its a recent problem, my hicas light comes on since in while, if i rev the car about 2-3k revs on idel, the light comes on, but if i turn off the car the light turns off… i checked out the fuses and everything is fine…
Any help would be a preciated

try topping up your power steering fluid, made my hicas light turn off.
That’s Genereally the Issue, Low Fluid Low Pressure, Rev it up it builds enough pressure to turn the light off…
i checked the power steering fluid its at max, it was ever since i boosted my winter beater to start, the light started on :?
If it’s not the fluid, probably best to put a piece of electrical tape over the light.

Ive got a P/S issue so i got no P/S to the front but somehow my HICAS still works which is wierd and my light is always on. Dont know if that helps you or not but if your rear steering still works when driving then there is nothing wrong LOL

you checked the fluid when the engine was cold right? if so, then i’d refer to axlerod’s suggestion.
at least you guys have your light turn on… mine doesnt turn on at all… even in auxillary. fuse is fine too. still feel hicas kick though at turns. :?
ya i checked it, when the engine was cold, i dont see any oil from a leaking line, it just started acting up out of no where, could it be the hicas computer decided to go ???
lol…dude thats a good thing, the only time you hicas light is suppose to come one, is when your about to start it, and when you have a problem

Powersteering fluid in a 240 is ATF Dexron III.
Hicas Shit Fails when “regular” Powersteering Fluid is used. (Clear/Amber)

Which makes no sence but flush all that old shit out a couple times,
there’s alot of fluid in the HICAS Lines. And put in all new stuff…
If that doesn’t work, like I said I gotta FSM here that will walk you through your troubles.
