my question is are there any problems i should look for when looking at a high mileage(250k+) ka24de? i’ve been looking around and they seem pretty solid but i just want the heads up on anything i should be expecting to go wrong/replace at this mileage. thanks in advance.
water/oil pumps, timing belt… ?

ask if u can do a compression test
they are pretty much bulletproof . if it runs good take it !
its a timing chain not a belt tend to ware out…but if you are really worried jsut do a comp test…other then that they are pretty strong engines.
if you want you can jsaut take the chain guides off thats what i did on mine…no more noise!

Alternator ,radiator, timing chain, fuel pump, low on the strut tower / frame rust, brake or hicas lines leak along frame, battery, vacuumed leaks, grounds, clutch, engine oil pan / valve cover leak, IACV, MAF and the general maintenance. Are some things you should look out for.
