kyle bowler is not that good… pete weber however deserves mad money
Wow imagine that, the Steelers not showing loyalty to one of their longtime most consistent players period. They’ll hold out and not pay him and then flush the money down the toilet by paying some new guy in town some amount almost as much as what Hines wants (and most likely comparatively deserves).
fuck hines, he is under contract to play not hold out for more money and not play. he fucked up and got greedy, I could care less if we keep him or not.
you would be greedy to don’t act like you never wanted a raise
but you keep showing up to work when you want a raise… and the steelers already offered him a substantial amount of money.
If you wanted a raise, and your boss offered you one but you wanted more, and refused to show up until you got what you wanted, you’d find yourself unemployed.
where’s his loyalty to his CONTRACT. The steelers pay him money to play football, he don’t deserve another thing from them.
ya regular people do it every day, its called a strike.
Contracts in professional sports are pretty much a joke across the board, all they seem to do is give a guarantee of a what player will at least make. It’s a very screwy system, but the way it is. My point is that Hines is one of the cleanest cut, most well-spoken, team player rah rah, that the steelers have had for quite a while and yet they seem quite quick to turn their backs on him. If he was a known trouble maker or had any kind of negative rep I could understand it (such as Randy Moss) but from everything I have ever saw he is the kind of player you want in your locker room and on the field.
 there’s absolutely no loyalty from either side. no guarenteed money means get it while you can. now there does come a point where you have to realize to accept. i still say this is just one huge pissing contest bc the steelers offered their ‘final offer’ first instead of the usual bidding. ibtplayersunionandagentcausedallthis
a strike is union-wide, and usually (if not always) after a contract has expired.
give him what he wants. If it was anyone else but Hines, I’d say fuck em. He deserves that shit. I couldnt think of a WR in the entire NFL that I’d rather have than him, and he’s been grossly underpaid the last few years. Its time for him to get paid.
thats what i say!
