My father and I are gonna have a cabin built down in the Southerntier. We want to hire the Amish but have no clue as to how that works.
Do i pay them with cash and they pay their taxes? Is it even legal?
Do I buy the supplies? Do I make the blueprints? Are they allowed to use modern tools or even get into my truck to pick them up? Whats the going rate for an Amish worker? Do I drive up to a random Amish house and ask for workers?
Basically, how the hell does this process work?
As far as I know, they are usually driven around by someone who has a truck, use all their own tools, I believe they can do blueprints as well… I wish I had more info… I’ll ask around though
they cant drive, but they can ride in a car or truck with someone non amish driving
