Holy.. What 3 Amish boys can throw up in 5 days!

So my rents decided to build a cabin… right by angelica and i guess they hired the amish to build it. Everyday my dad would pick up 3 boys… oldest being 20 and they would load all the wood that they were going to use onto the trailor and drive an hour to where the cabin was and drive them back home at the end of the day. I picked them up on the fifth day… and they are crazy to watch work. They also asked me to buy them wine coolers when we stopped at the store… lol. The “Strawberry ones”. Granted who gets drunk off wine coolers… so i bought them 4-4packs… each differant flavors and the all liked the fuzzy naval ones by then end of the day.

wow, see what work ethic people have when they don’t have welfare to fall back on?

the amish are work horses man  they can build a barn like nobodys business

This title is misleading.

It was insane to watch them work. And to just think after working a long day like that… they would go home and just get wood and everything cut and ready for the next day.

does the amish community supply electricians?

haha

a local boy kicked me in the butt last week,
i just smiled at him, and turned the other cheek.
i really don’t care, in fact i wish him well,
because i’ll be laughing my head off,
when he’s burning in hell…

i’ve been working all my life,
living in this amish paradise

pics of inside?

dont have any… its not finished inside but it does have an upstairs thats going to be turned into a bedroom. My rents are thinking a pellet stove and electric. Should be a nice little place to hunt this winter… Maybe u can come up with me and Tim. If u hunt?

and by hunt i meant drink. lol

very cool

im curious… did they use any kind of power tooks? nail gun, saws, ect

the amish can build nice cabins and alot of other products. they last a long time too. my dad has a wooden swing bench built by them 20 years ago and is still like brand new.

We went to go buy them lunch and when we returned they were on my dads huge tractor… and the one had my brothers chain saw in his hands… They loved the chain saw. They did use some power tools but mostly just their hands and hammer. Def no nail gun… but i do remember one using a power drill to put the door handles in.

yes we got a picnic bench and a bench for on the porch also… they did a very nice job on both… and look like they will last forever.

:bigclap:

My dads buddy had a cabin built by the amish this past year, I think his cost something crazy low like seven grand, and it looks amazing.

It’s like the mexican illegals around here, they just wait in a specific area.

You pull up, honk the same amount of times as you want people (5 honks = 5 people)

They come up, you negotiate, they hop in, you do your thang.

That looks pretty fooking nice though - how much do you pay them?

just talked to my dad… He said he is not quite sure and would have to sit down and think about it but about 6K for labor and def more then 10K for wood/nail/etc.
He said the doors and windows were not that cheap.
They took our kitchen cabinets out of our house and brought them out to the cabin and decided to put new ones in our home.
I can honestly say they spent more on our kitchen then that whole cabin which is crazy to think.

Lol… I think it was Beck who told me the last time I saw him that, there is some guy in Amish country in PA who makes these flawless exhausts for the cost of materials plus like $25 bucks. Maybe it was someone else but damn these Gangstahs can whip shit together…
